Incastonata fra i muri a secco della campagna ragusana, tra carrubbi, ulivi e fichi d'india, a due chilometri dai siti archeologici di Kaucana e dal mare con spiagge libere, (sono quelle sulle quali passeggiava il commissario Montalbano) sorge "IL SULTANO" tipica masseria dell'800 recentemente ristrutturata. Ciò significa che la casa ha mura esterne spesse circa un metro! E questo aiuta a mantenere l'interno, fresco d'estate e caldo d'inverno.Sono disponibili confortevoli alloggi con uso di cucina, televisione e uso di barbecue con ampi spazi esterni, offrendo agli ospiti tutti i moderni confort ma lasciando immodificato il clima dell'antica "villeggiatura", meta consigliata per chi ama la tranquillità e le escursioni nel vicino castello di Donnafugata, nel museo di Kamarina e nelle città barocche di Scicli, Modica, Ragusa e Noto, tutte patrimonio dell'Unesco. Luogo di relax e di natura "IL SULTANO" consente di abbinare campagna - mare e di conoscere i sapori dell'antica tradizione contadina siciliana. La struttura dispone di un maneggio con un attrezzato campo di equitazione con pista regolamentare per il trotto e il noleggio di calessini, si possono fare escursioni, noleggio di bici. PER ARRIVARE: Dall’aeroporto di Catania Fontanarossa seguire le indicazioni per Ragusa, imboccare il bivio per Santa Croce Camerina seguire le indicazioni per Punta Secca dopo circa 3 km imboccare il bivio a sinistra per Caucana per circa mt.300.

IL SULTANO, a characteristic farm of the 19th century, has recently been restructured. Its walls are one meter thick, and this means that it is cool in summer and warm in winter. It is located in a countryside near Ragusa, among the dry-stone walls and the carob trees, the prickly pears and the olive trees, two kms away from the sea where the beaches are free (those beaches were the set of the well-known serial Commissario Montalbano and from the archeological sites of Kaucana.This farm consists of comfortable flats with kitchens,Tv , barbecue and wide exteriors. They offer every kind of comforts to guests even if they will have the possibility of relaxing there enjoying nature and visiting the castle of Donnafugata, the Kamarina museum and Baroque towns such as Scicli,Modica, Ragusa and Noto. Place of relax immersed into nature IL SULTANO gives you the possibility of combining the countryside and the seaside and to taste the Sicilian antique flavors. Moreover the structure has an equipped horseback riding field with ring field for the trot and the rental of little gigs. How to reach IL SULTANO: from the Catania Fontanarossa airport, after following directions to Ragusa, you will come on to the fork for Santa Croce Camerina. There follow directions to Punta Secca, after about 3 kms make a left and follow directions to Kaucana . After 300 meters on the left you will find IL SULTANO.
